Our story

Broad Generation is the home of Broad Radio, Australia’s first radio network for women, by women. The brainchild of Jo Stanley, one of Australia’s most successful radio broadcasters, Broad Radio will be releasing their listening app in 2023, and you can follow their progress here.

Meanwhile, Broad Generation is a place of courageous conversation, brilliant ideas and serious fun, with some of the country’s best writers, performers and thinkers hitting our microphones. Together with Broad Pods, our diverse suite of podcasts, the Broad family is like three warm yet feisty sisters here to help you tell your story.

Take a tour through Broad Studios

Our video studio is equipped with a BirdDog Camera, SM7B microphones, headphones, professional lighting, backdrops, and set up perfectly for an audio engineer to sit with you and drive our super-fast video and audio processing computer powered by vMix and other platforms. Studio One is where the flagship Broad Radio livestream has been produced and can be used for radio, video, podcast and other purposes.

This sound-treated room is the perfect podcast suite. Seating four people and powered by SM7B mics, professional headphones, a Rodecaster, Cloudlifters and more. When it comes to high-quality and flexible recording, this studio has you covered. You can simple pop a USB in the back of the Rodecaster and capture your audio straight to disk, or add a laptop and import into your favourite editing DAW. Naturally, our team of audio engineers and producers are here to help.

Our two meeting rooms are light-filled, quiet and comfortable. Suitable for 4 or 6 people, facilities include business grade wifi, video conferencing, whiteboard, tea/coffee/water, catering available. Potential for 3rd breakaway room. Great for podcast planning, writers’ rooms, client meetings or interviews.
